Rehoming- Yarra- The Australian Terrier
Yarra is a 7 month old, female, spayed Australian Terrier. She is being rehomed as her previous owner has health issues.
Although Yarra came to us with many great skills, the one behaviour that she was having difficulty with was toilet training.
You must be prepared to continue with the toilet training.... She is 90% there (better than she arrived!)
Yarra has spent 2 weeks with us. She's been walked off leash, on-leash, met new dogs, trained with other people, and is able to stay in her crate.

Since staying with us, she has learned to use the doggie door, learned that toileting in in the outdoor, comes when called, stays by your side when walked, sleeps through out the night, enjoys a variety of food (not a picker eater).
She knows the hand command for sit, and touch. She doesn't bark but will let you know if there is a stranger coming towards you, but out of concern rather than fear. She travels in the car well, and enjoys the beach.
Yarra is going to be someone's great forever dog.
The cost for Yarra includes our training while she was here,We will discuss the cost once you apply.
advice and dog training sessions for the new owner, (worth $135 as a class),
a new treat bag $45 retail,
food, collar, lead, vaccination,
a new book Love Has No Age Limit: Welcoming an Adopted Dog Into Your Home by Patricia B. McConnell, Karen B. London Ph.D. (worth $25)
Yarra is a great wee dog. She loves entertaining herself, great on walks, goes through doggie dorr, has great recall, and basic commands, and the only continuing training for Yarra is toilet training.
